First day at the gym

Today was the first step towards increasing fitness and generally  getting the physical self back on track. I have  'supported' quite a number of people to commencing the use of a gym as part of managing their own self. Even though I've been aware of the barriers to getting to the gym and maintaining I needed to practice what I preach.

So, day 1 included apprehension and a little unprepared but determined to make a start. It was opportunity to see if using Solution Focused ideas would helpful, I guess it's too early to see however the principles of noticing signs of a preferred future happening now or soon (weight loss, stress management sense of 'doing something about it') will play a part.

A big obstacle to overcome is bringing in mindfulness while exercising, more on this as I (hopefully develop it).
